FAQ

Green coffee questions, answered simply.

A practical starting point for home roasters, coffee explorers, and wholesale buyers considering Panama green coffee.

Frequently asked questions

What is green coffee?

Green coffee is raw, unroasted coffee. It is the bean before heat develops the aroma, color, sweetness, acidity, and body people recognize in brewed coffee.

Do I need a special roaster?

No. Beginners can start with simple, well-ventilated small-batch methods, then move into air roasters or small drum roasters when they want more repeatability and control.

Can beginners roast at home?

Yes. Start small, keep notes, watch color changes, listen for first crack, and cool the coffee quickly. The first goal is learning the process, not chasing a perfect roast.

How long does green coffee last?

Green coffee generally stores much longer than roasted coffee when kept cool, dry, sealed, and away from sunlight or strong odors. RGC will include storage guidance with releases.

When will coffee be available?

First Panama releases are opening soon. Join early access for release timing, package availability, sample options, and launch pricing.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. Specialty roasters, cafes, and small-batch buyers can request wholesale samples and Panama availability through the wholesale inquiry page.

Are farm or source details public?

RGC shares responsible origin context while protecting exact farm names, producer names, supplier identities, and sourcing logistics out of respect for private relationships.
